A discussion regarding dhikr-Allah done by the core of the heart to the skins

The discussion continued such, that the brother stated the following:

Dear sis,
again.. I said in my comment that I do not disagree with your opinion, but the only thing I was asking is some authentic reference ....
There are many sentences that are without any authentic reference...
I will just point out one,

"One of the annuities of the companions described in the Book is that their hearts and their skins (i.e. from the inner most to the outer most), every cell of their body resonated at the frequency of Allah’s Zikr. When the heart becomes zakir through the blessings of company, it starts beating at the frequency of Zikr and saturates the entire body with it. Such a person is able to fulfill the Divine obligation of performing frequent Zikr. This beneficence was handed down by the ''companions to Tabaeen, then to Taba Tabaeen and finally to the Aulia (lit: friends, cloq: savants: sages)."
My question is , whether any Sahabi, or Tab'ii or Mufassir from Quroon e OOla did the same tafseer of the aforementioned aya (with referenc), in the way the Sheikh is saying ???

To which I replied with the following:

Brother, I would like to clarify a couple of things before I go ahead and share the rest of what I have to say. Firstly, you keep asking me and/or discussing my opinion, and I would like to say, as far as Islam and it’s teachings are concerned, I try not to have an opinion, but infact ‘understanding’. And yes! Each individual may understand different depths of the same concept depending on their caliber. Nonetheless, it shall still not be considered an ‘opinion’, but infact the ‘understanding’ of the individual. To have an opinion about the teachings of Islam is an audacity I dare not venture, and May Allah-SWT always protect me from this act of arrogance.

Secondly, half the time I reply to you, not to convince you to do dhikr, that is not my job. My job is to introduce and invite people to Islam and as dhikr-Allah has proved to be the most effective means to it, as far as my family and my experience is concerned (along with the experiences of hundreds of other people who have come to it before my very eyes). The only reason I do reply in detail and with whatever references I can provide and whatever my understanding of the matter is, is solely so that your doubts do not prove to be a source of other peoples confusions and other peoples hesitation towards practicing dhikr-Allah for themselves. I really want everyone to come to the love and appreciation of Islam as is it’s due, and I know sometimes without realization too much bookish information of a subject can prove to be the biggest barrier in experiencing it fully and absorbing it completely.

Hadhrat Allah-Yaar Khan-RUA himself a great scholar never believed in Tassawwuf and used to prove through his studied information that it is impossible to communicate with people from Barzakh. However when he met Hadhrat Abd-ur-Raheem-RUA, who was rather old at the time and was lying on a charpoy nearby, while Hadhrat Allah-Yaar Khan-RUA was engrossed in this deep discussion proving to all how this is an impossibility. Hadhrat Abd-ur-Raheem-RUA, got up and said ‘I don’t know about all that, but we communicate with people in the Barzakh’. At this Hadhrat Allah-Yaar Khan-RUA was taken aback and asked him ‘can you make me experience this too?’ (in the form of a curious challenge). Hadhrat Abd-ur-Raheem-RUA replied in the affirmative, and thereafter took him to Hadhrat Allah-Deen Madni-RUA’s grave. After engaging in dhikr-Allah, he spiritually introduced Hadhrat Allah-Yaar Khan-RUA to Hadhrat Allah-Deen Madni-RUA who had passed away some hundreds of years ago. And thus Hadhrat Allah-Yaar Khan-RUA’s journey of Tassawwuf began.

So all I want to say regarding your request of reference to a Tafseer done by the Sahaba-RAU or the three blessed generations. Well I am sorry my knowledge is limited and I never found any discrepancy or conflict with anything with in the Quran or teachings of the Prophet-SAAW as such in this Tafseer for me to doubt it. Also, I have personally experienced each body cell doing dhikr-Allah (and I know of numerous others who have experienced the same) and have scientifically researched all this to great extent and know that it is well within nature for all this to be absolutely possible. Moreover, my point is when people like us, who are the scum of the earth in comparison to the Sahabah-RAU can experience and achieve this, there is no doubt in my being that this Tafseer and understanding of the ayat (which is as clear and obvious as day light) cannot have any fallacy or issue with it, and the Shabah-RAU did infact experience each and every cell of their body being engaged in dhikr-Allah. (If you ever want to discuss the scientific side of this with me, feel free).

39:23 = Allah-SWT has revealed the most excellent discourse, a Book consimilar, off-repeated, at which trembles the skins of those who fear their Rabb-SWT ; then their skins and hearts soften to Allah-SWT ’s Zikr. This is Allah-SWT's guidance to which He-SWT guides whom He-SWT will; and whom Allah-SWT sends astray, for him there is no guide

Also I believe that when the Quran has ordained something so clearly, there is no doubt that the Prophet-SAAW and the Sahabah-RAU must have abided by it completely.

7:205 = Remember you your Rabb-SWT within yourself with humility and awe, without loudness in word, morning and evening, and be you not of the heedless.

Also Brother in the following aayat:

62:1 = Hallows whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth Allah-SWT , the Sovereign, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise.

Everything that Allah-SWT has created engages in His-SWT dhikr, everything! That would include every cell in our being! :)

There’s another thing I would like to mention here, which I have understood through common sense. There are certain things, which are so obvious that you will not find any reference discussions to them. For example, the three generations through which Love automatically generates without anyone having to make much effort, ie; a child, a parent and a grandparent. This is something that just happens automatically as a matter of transference of Love from the hearts of one generation to another generation. I don’t think ‘how it is transferred’ has ever come into discussion or a conflicting debate, and neither have any methods been devised to achieve this, because it happens naturally. There are certain things, which are so obvious and utterly clear and commonly experienced that details of them are unnecessary to be mentioned. However when the nature of man and society gets corrupted and these natural feelings become rare. And their transference and absorption too become rare and no longer remain automatic. Then obviously people would need to realize and come up with techniques to bring these feelings back into the society and people. And if this indifference amongst people becomes terribly common, then they might sit back and wonder why hundreds of years ago no one wrote books about the techniques to acquire this love from generation to generation!

Allah Knows Best! May Allah-SWT guide us all. Ameen!

JazakAllah Khair

Every Body Cell Practises Allah-SWT ’s Zikr

Those who enjoy the light of faith are thrilled by the facts revealed in the Quran. As a result each and every cell of their bodies, from skin down to the core of their hearts, gets initiated with Allah-SWT ’s Zikr. Hadhrat Asma' bint Abu Bakr Siddiq-RAU reports that while listening to the Quran tears would roll down the eyes of most of the Companions-RAU and the hair would stand on end due to Allah-SWT's awe. This indeed is the guidance mankind is blessed with, out of His-SWT Mercy. And those deprived of it cannot be put on the track by anyone. They will end up with the lashing flames striking across their naked face in Hell as they had opted for the path of denial and polytheism. They must now taste the consequences of their evil conduct like the preceding nations.

If only the infidels realize that Allah-SWT revealed the Quran with all kinds of logical and recorded evidences in a language rich in beauty and fluency to facilitate understanding. Ponder over the example of a slave owned by many owners at discord with one another, and a slave who is exclusively at the service of only one master. Can the two be equal? It is only Allah-SWT Who-SWT deserves all Praise. Yet a majority of people do not appreciate these realities. The Holy Prophet-SAAW also has to pass away to his eternal abode and the deniers too will have to cross the alley of death into eternity. Then all shall gather to stand before Allah-SWT , for final judgement and everyone will be given a chance to defend himself.

Life of a Prophet-AS and this Ayah

This, Ayah refers to death is a law of nature and does not discuss the Life of a Prophet-AS in Barzakh (Hayat un Nabi-AS). It highlights that everyone has to go through the same process to get to the arena of Reckoning. It also does not infer that the Holy Prophet-SAAW did not experience death at all. For the Prophets-AS death means a state whereby the connection of their Arwah is diverted from this world to the Barzakh and the Akhirah, while they continue to enjoy life as in the world.

Zikr Allah-SWT

Everything contained in heavens and the earth remembers Allah-SWT and each particle is a manifestation of His-SWT perfection. He-SWT is Absolute Ruler. He-SWT is Predominant, Prudent and Flawless. He-SWT is the Supreme Being Who appointed an unlettered Prophet-SAAW among the generally unlettered Arabs.

A Miracle

The Arabs did not have the tradition of schooling and very few could read or write. The Holy Prophet-SAAW himself never received any formal education. Such ignorant nations are hard to reform, as it is difficult to make them understand anything. The fact that the Holy Prophet-SAAW transformed them into fountainheads of knowledge and wisdom for the world is evident as daylight. They became the keepers, the dominators, the beautifiers of the world. While the unlettered Prophet-SAAW blessed mankind with a Code of Life that spells out human rights and duties perfectly and explicitly. This Code was practically enforced in the world by the same unlettered nation.

Responsibilities of the Holy Prophet-SAAW

The Holy Prophet-SAAW recites Allah-SWT ’s Ayat unto them, purifies them, and teaches them the Book and Wisdom by explaining the Quran and by self-example. His-SAAW four responsibilities have been described here. First, he-SAAW invites people to believe in Allah-SWT as dictated by the Quranic Ayat. Then he-SAAW purifies the hearts of those who embrace Islam.

Tasawwuf

The outward purification involves education on cleaning the body and the raiments, earning lawful and clean food while the spiritual purification extends to ethics and morality and character building. The latter was instantly affected when a person physically presented himself before the Holy Prophet-SAAW after taking Shahadah. A solitary glance of his-SAAW purifying sight lifted him to the status of a Companion-RAU, and his soul stood consecrated. In Quran's language: Each and every cell of his body, right from his skin to the core of his heart, became engaged in Zikr Allah-SWT (39:23). This very state was termed Tazkiyah by the Quran and was translated to Tasawwuf in the first foreign language into which Quran was translated. Those believers associated with the Companions-RAU became Tab'ain, who, in turn, produced Tab'a Tab'ain.

As time progressed, the intensity of this phenomenon of purification depleted. In more recent times, people used to remain engaged in Zikr-e-Qalbi. They spent years in the company of those whose hearts radiated with the light that emanated from the Holy Prophet-SAAW .As a result, their morals were reformed, their conduct dignified and the flame to act on Shari'ah kindled in their bosoms. Then came a time when incompetent people took over as spiritual mentors through hereditary succession. The prestige of Tasawwuf was tarnished by these incapable frauds who made it an assortment of absurd rituals. Such mimicry, however, does not reduce the effectiveness of the actual marvel called Tasawwuf.

Interpreting Quran is also the Holy Prophet-SAAW's Duty

After bodily and spiritual purification, the Holy Prophet-SAAW enlightened his Companions-RAU with the knowledge and wisdom of the Quran. It implies that to explain the meaning and context of Quranic Ayat, that is, its interpretation is among his-SAAW responsibilities; every plebeian is not authorized to interpret Quran in any way he chooses. The Arabs were a people who were disgusted with their own condition and knew that they were not on the right path but were ignorant of the Truth.

The Honour for Succeeding Generations

The believers, who follow the Companion-RAU’s in time till the Day of Judgment, and who follow them in belief and practise would also be similarly blessed with the Barakah of the Holy Prophet-SAAW . It is a matter of great honour for the succeeding generations that they followed the footsteps of such illustrious souls as the Companions-RAU. It also signifies the greatness of the Companions-RAU. Allah-SWT is Predominant and Prudent. Benevolence and Generosity are His-SWT Attributes and He blesses anyone He-SWT chooses. The Companions-RAU were blessed because they obeyed the Holy Prophet-SAAW and whosoever obeys the Companions-RAU would be blessed likewise. Allah-SWT is really Kind and Rewarding. He rewarded the illiterate and made them the most fortunate people. On the other hand, the Jew scholars who were famous for their knowledge, and considered themselves to be extremely wise, could not live upto the expectations of their own Book, the Torah.

A Hallmark of Knowledge

A hallmark of knowledge is that human conduct is enlightened by it. If knowledge does not influence action, it would not be called knowledge but information. The Jew scholars, despite having read thick volumes, are similar to donkeys loaded with tomes. They could not benefit from the wisdom of Torah and repudiated Quran despite knowing it to be true from their own Book. They did not believe in the Holy Prophet-SAAW and thus committed the gravest of sins. Of course, Allah-SWT , could not care less, and has no need to guide such flagrant sinners.

Even Jews did not Doubt the Holy Prophet-SAAW's Veracity

These unfortunate people claim to be the friends of Allah-SWT and a cut above the rest. Allah-SWT asks the Holy Prophet-SAAW to tell them to wish for death if they are so sure of their righteousness, in certification of their confident claims. But they understand that they would surely die if they make such a wish on his asking. They also recognize the profanity of their conduct. Therefore, they would never ever wish for death. They are terrified of the Akhirah and Allah-SWT surely knows such wicked people.

Infidels and Evildoers are Terrified of Death

Another point that comes to light here is that the infidels and the evildoers as a rule, are terrified of dying. It is a common observation in our immediate surroundings, particularly in the West where this dread has made the lives of the non believers miserable. Everyone in those infidel societies is frightened with it knowing the reason for it. They helplessly call it "Fear of the Unknown”. The Quran clearly warns such people that death they try to escape, is bound to catch up with them at the destined moment. They would then be produced before Allah-SWT , Knower of all things hidden and manifest, and their deeds would be unveiled in His-SWT Court.
