BA Islamiyat Compulsory

L. M.
2. This
is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear
Allah;
3. Who
believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We
have
provided for them;
4. And
who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and
[in
their hearts] have the assurance of the Hereafter.
5. They
are on [true] guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will
prosper.
284. To Allah belongeth all that is in the
heavens and on earth. Whether ye show what is in your minds or conceal it,
Allah Calleth you to account for it. He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and
punisheth whom He pleaseth, for Allah hath power over all things.
285. The Messenger believeth in what hath
been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one [of them]
believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no
distinction [they say] between one and another of His messengers." And
they say: "We hear, and we obey: [We seek] Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and
to Thee is the end of all journeys."
286. On no soul doth Allah Place a burden
greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers
every ill that it earns. [Pray:] "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or
fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst
lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have
strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on
us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against
faith."
6. The Prophet is closer to the Believers
than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. Blood-relations among
each other have closer personal ties, in the Decree of Allah. Than [the
Brotherhood of] Believers and Muhajirs: nevertheless do ye what is just to your
closest friends: such is the writing in the Decree [of Allah].
21. Ye have indeed in the Messenger of
Allah a beautiful pattern [of conduct] for any one whose hope is in Allah and
the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.
32. O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not
like any of the [other] women: if ye do fear [Allah], be not too complacent of
speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but
speak ye a speech [that is] just.
33. And stay quietly in your houses, and
make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and
establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His
Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members
of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.
40. Muhammad is not the father of any of
your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and
Allah has full knowledge of all things.
56. Allah and His angels send blessings on
the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with
all respect.
57. Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger
- Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared
for them a humiliating Punishment.
58. And those who annoy believing men and
women undeservedly, bear [on themselves] a calumny and a glaring sin.
59. O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters,
and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their
persons [when abroad]: that is most convenient, that they should be known [as
such] and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
29. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and
those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, [but] compassionate
amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves [in
prayer], seeking Grace from Allah and [His] Good Pleasure. On their faces are
their marks, [being] the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude
in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends
forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on
its own stem, [filling] the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it
fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. Allah has promised those among them
who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.
1. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth,
let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might,
the Wise.
2. O ye who believe! Why say ye that which
ye do not? 3. Grievously odious is it in the sight of Allah that ye say that
which ye do not.
4. Truly Allah loves those who fight in His
Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure. 5. And
remember, Moses said to his people: "O my people! why do ye vex and insult
me, though ye know that I am the messenger of Allah [sent] to you?" Then
when they went wrong, Allah let their hearts go wrong. For Allah guides not
those who are rebellious transgressors.
6. And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary,
said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah [sent] to you,
confirming the Law [which came] before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a
Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came
to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!"
7. Who doth greater wrong than one who
invents falsehood against Allah, even as he is being invited to Islam? And Allah
guides not those who do wrong.
8. Their intention is to extinguish Allah's
Light [by blowing] with their mouths: But Allah will complete [the revelation
of] His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest [it].
9. It is He Who has sent His Messenger with
Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion,
even though the Pagans may detest [it].
10. O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a
bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?-
11. That ye believe in Allah and His
Messenger, and that ye strive [your utmost] in the Cause of Allah, with your
property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew!
12. He will forgive you your sins, and
admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in
Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement.
13. And another [favour will He bestow,]
which ye do love,- help from Allah and a speedy victory. So give the Glad
Tidings to the Believers.
14. O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of Allah:
As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to
[the work of] Allah?" Said the disciples, "We are Allah's
helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion
disbelieved: But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies,
and they became the ones that prevailed.
1. O Ye who believe! Put not yourselves
forward before Allah and His Messenger; but fear Allah: for Allah is He Who
hears and knows all things.
2. O ye who believe! Raise not your voices
above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk, as ye may speak
aloud to one another, lest your deeds become vain and ye perceive not.
3. Those that lower their voices in the
presence of Allah's Messenger,- their hearts has Allah tested for piety: for
them is Forgiveness and a great Reward.
4. Those who shout out to thee from without
the inner apartments - most of them lack understanding.
5. If only they had patience until thou
couldst come out to them, it would be best for them: but Allah is
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
6. O ye who believe! If a wicked person
comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people
unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
7. And know that among you is Allah's
Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your [wishes], ye would
certainly fall into misfortune: But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and
has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness,
and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness;-
8. A Grace and Favour from Allah; and Allah
is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
9. If two parties among the Believers fall
into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses
beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye [all] against the one that
transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies,
then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those
who are fair [and just].
10. The Believers are but a single
Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two [contending]
brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy.
11. O ye who believe! Let not some men
among you laugh at others: It may be that the [latter] are better than the
[former]: Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the [latter are
better than the [former]: Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call
each other by [offensive] nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting
wickedness, [to be used of one] after he has believed: And those who do not
desist are [indeed] doing wrong.
12. O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as
much [as possible]: for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each
other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead
brother? Nay, ye would abhor it ... But fear Allah: For Allah is Oft-Returning,
Most Merciful.
13. O mankind! We created you from a single
[pair] of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye
may know each other [not that ye may despise [each other]. Verily the most
honoured of you in the sight of Allah is [he who is] the most righteous of you.
And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted [with all things].
14. The desert Arabs say, "We
believe." Say, "Ye have no faith; but ye [only]say, 'We have
submitted our wills to Allah,' For not yet has Faith entered your hearts. But
if ye obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle aught of your deeds:
for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
15. Only those are Believers who have
believed in Allah and His Messenger, and have never since doubted, but have
striven with their belongings and their persons in the Cause of Allah: Such are
the sincere ones.
16. Say: "What! Will ye instruct Allah
about your religion? But Allah knows all that is in the heavens and on earth:
He has full knowledge of all things.
17. They impress on thee as a favour that
they have embraced Islam. Say, "Count not your Islam as a favour upon me:
Nay, Allah has conferred a favour upon you that He has guided you to the faith,
if ye be true and sincere.
18. "Verily Allah knows the secrets of
the heavens and the earth: and Allah Sees well all that ye do."
151. Say: "Come, I will rehearse what
Allah hath [really] prohibited you from": Join not anything as equal with
Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of want;- We
provide sustenance for you and for them;- come not nigh to shameful deeds.
Whether open or secret; take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by
way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom.
152. And come not nigh to the orphan's
property, except to improve it, until he attain the age of full strength; give
measure and weight with [full] justice;- no burden do We place on any soul, but
that which it can bear;- whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near
relative is concerned; and fulfil the covenant of Allah: thus doth He command
you, that ye may remember.
153. Verily, this is My way, leading
straight: follow it: follow not [other] paths: they will scatter you about from
His [great] path: thus doth He command you. that ye may be righteous.
63. And the servants of [Allah] Most
Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant
address them, they say, "Peace!";
64. Those who spend the night in adoration
of their Lord prostrate and standing;
65. Those who say, "Our Lord! avert
from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,-
66. "Evil indeed is it as an abode,
and as a place to rest in";
67. Those who, when they spend, are not
extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just [balance] between those
[extremes]; 68. Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such
life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; -
and any that does this [not only] meets punishment.
69. [But] the Penalty on the Day of
Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,-
70. Unless he repents, believes, and works
righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and
Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful,
71. And whoever repents and does good has
truly turned to Allah with an [acceptable] conversion;-
72. Those who witness no falsehood, and, if
they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable [avoidance];
73. Those who, when they are admonished
with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or
blind;
74. And those who pray, "Our Lord!
Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give
us [the grace] to lead the righteous."
75. Those are the ones who will be rewarded
with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein
shall they be met with salutations and peace,
76. Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an
abode and place of rest!
77. Say [to the Rejecters]: "My Lord
is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected
[Him], and soon will come the inevitable [punishment]!"
12. He has made subject to you the Night
and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His
Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise.
13. And the things on this earth which He
has multiplied in varying colours [and qualities]: verily in this is a sign for
men who celebrate the praises of Allah [in gratitude].
14. It is He Who has made the sea subject,
that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract
therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the
waves, that ye may seek [thus] of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be
grateful.
HADITH
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ
كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ
بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَقَّاصٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ،
قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله
عليه وسلم "
إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى فَمَنْ
كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ
وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ لِدُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ
يَتَزَوَّجُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ " .
1. ‘Umar bin Al Khattab reported the
Apostle (ﷺ) of Allaah
as saying “Actions are to be judged only by intentions and a man will have only
what he intended. When one’s emigration is to Allaah and His Apostle, his
emigration is to Allaah and His Apostle but his emigration is to a worldly end
at which he aims or to a woman whom he marries , his emigration is to that for
which he emigrated.
حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي
عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ قَالَ
النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ أَفْضَلَكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ ".
Narrated `Uthman bin `Affan:
2. The Prophet (ﷺ)
said, "The most superior among you (Muslims) are those who learn the
Qur'an and teach it."
وَحَدَّثَنِي
عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " تَرَكْتُ فِيكُمْ أَمْرَيْنِ لَنْ تَضِلُّوا مَا تَمَسَّكْتُمْ
بِهِمَا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَسُنَّةَ نَبِيِّهِ "
3. Yahya related to me from Malik that he
heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I have left two matters with you. As long as you
hold to them, you will not go the wrong way. They are the Book of Allah and the
Sunnah of His Prophet."
عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ
الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: سَمِعْت رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله
عليه و سلم يَقُولُ: " بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ: شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا
إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ،
وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ، وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ".
On
the authority of Abdullah, the son of Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra), who said:
4. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, "Islam has been built on five
[pillars]: testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and
that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the salah (prayer),
paying the zakat (obligatory charity), making the hajj (pilgrimage) to the
House, and fasting in Ramadhan."
عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ
أَيْضًا قَالَ: " بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله
عليه و سلم ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، إذْ طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ شَدِيدُ بَيَاضِ
الثِّيَابِ، شَدِيدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ، لَا يُرَى عَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ السَّفَرِ،
وَلَا يَعْرِفُهُ مِنَّا أَحَدٌ. حَتَّى جَلَسَ إلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه و
سلم . فَأَسْنَدَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ إلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ، وَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى
فَخِذَيْهِ،
وَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْإِسْلَامِ.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم الْإِسْلَامُ أَنْ
تَشْهَدَ أَنْ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ،
وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَصُومَ رَمَضَانَ، وَتَحُجَّ
الْبَيْتَ إنْ اسْتَطَعْت إلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا.
قَالَ: صَدَقْت . فَعَجِبْنَا لَهُ يَسْأَلُهُ وَيُصَدِّقُهُ!
قَالَ: فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْإِيمَانِ.
قَالَ: أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ بِاَللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ
وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ، وَتُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ.
قَالَ: صَدَقْت. قَالَ: فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْإِحْسَانِ.
قَالَ: أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ كَأَنَّك تَرَاهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ
تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاك.
قَالَ: فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ السَّاعَةِ. قَالَ: مَا الْمَسْئُولُ
عَنْهَا بِأَعْلَمَ مِنْ السَّائِلِ.
قَالَ: فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ أَمَارَاتِهَا؟ قَالَ: أَنْ تَلِدَ
الْأَمَةُ رَبَّتَهَا، وَأَنْ تَرَى الْحُفَاةَ الْعُرَاةَ الْعَالَةَ رِعَاءَ
الشَّاءِ يَتَطَاوَلُونَ فِي الْبُنْيَانِ. ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ، فَلَبِثْتُ مَلِيًّا،
ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَا عُمَرُ أَتَدْرِي مَنْ السَّائِلُ؟.
قُلْتُ: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ.
قَالَ: فَإِنَّهُ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَاكُمْ يُعَلِّمُكُمْ دِينَكُمْ "
Also
on the authority of `Umar (ra) who said:
5. While we were one day sitting with the
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) there
appeared before us a man dressed in extremely white clothes and with very black
hair. No traces of journeying were visible on him, and none of us knew him. He
sat down close by the Prophet (ﷺ)
rested his knees against the knees of the Prophet (ﷺ)
and placed his palms over his thighs, and said: "O Muhammad! Inform me
about Islam." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
replied: "Islam is that you should testify that there is no deity worthy
of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger (ﷺ), that you should perform salah (ritual
prayer), pay the zakah, fast during Ramadan, and perform Hajj (pilgrimage) to
the House (the Ka`bah at Makkah), if you can find a way to it (or find the
means for making the journey to it)." He said: "You have spoken the
truth." We were astonished at his thus questioning him (ﷺ) and then telling him that he was right,
but he went on to say, "Inform me about Iman (faith)." He (the
Prophet) answered, "It is that you believe in Allah and His angels and His
Books and His Messengers and in the Last Day, and in fate (qadar), both in its
good and in its evil aspects." He said, "You have spoken the
truth." Then he (the man) said, "Inform me about Ihsan." He (the
Prophet) answered, "It is that you should serve Allah as though you could
see Him, for though you cannot see Him yet He sees you." He said,
"Inform me about the Hour." He (the Prophet) said, "About that
the one questioned knows no more than the questioner." So he said,
"Well, inform me about its signs." He said, "They are that the
slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and that you will see the barefooted
ones, the naked, the destitute, the herdsmen of the sheep (competing with each
other) in raising lofty buildings." Thereupon the man went off. I waited a
while, and then he (the Prophet) said, "O `Umar, do you know who that
questioner was?" I replied, "Allah and His Messenger know
better." He said, "That was Jibril. He came to teach you your
religion." [Muslim]
حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الطَّبَّاعِ - حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،
عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مُرُوا الصَّبِيَّ بِالصَّلاَةِ إِذَا بَلَغَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ وَإِذَا
بَلَغَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ عَلَيْهَا " .
Narrated As-Saburah:
6. The Prophet (ﷺ)
said: Command a boy to pray when he reaches the age of seven years. When he
becomes ten years old, then beat him for prayer.
وعن
معاوية رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "من يرد الله به خيرًا يفقه في الدين" ((متفق عليه))
Mu'awiyah
(May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
7. The Messenger of Allah said, "When
Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of
Deen."
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ
عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه و سلم قَالَ: "مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ
مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ
كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ، يَسَّرَ اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِما سَتَرَهُ اللهُ فِي
الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، وَاَللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ
فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ، وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ
اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ
مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ، وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ فِيمَا
بَيْنَهُمْ؛ إلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ،
وَ حَفَّتهُمُ المَلاَئِكَة، وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ، وَمَنْ
أَبَطْأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ".
On
the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
8. Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer,
Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And
whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs
in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields [or hides the misdeeds of] a
Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will
aid His slave so long as he aids his brother. And whoever follows a path to
seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No
people gather together in one of the Houses of Allah, reciting the Book of
Allah and studying it among themselves, except that sakeenah (tranquility)
descends upon them, and mercy envelops them, and the angels surround them, and
Allah mentions them amongst those who are with Him. And whoever is slowed down
by his actions, will not be hastened forward by his lineage. Related by [Muslim] in these words.
أَخْبَرَنَا
قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ
أَخِيهِ، عَبَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الأَرْبَعِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لاَ
يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لاَ يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لاَ تَشْبَعُ وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ
لاَ يُسْمَعُ " .
Abu
Hurairah said:
9. "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] used
to say: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-arba': min 'ilmin la yanfa'u, wa min
qalbin la yakhsha'u, wa min nafsin la tashba'u, wa min du'a'in la yusma'u (O
Allah, I seek refuge in You from four: From knowledge that is of no benefit,
from a heart that is not humble, from a soul that is not satisfied and from a
supplication that is not answered.)'"

حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ أَبُو مِحْصَنٍ،
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الرَّحَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي
رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه
وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تَزُولُ قَدَمَا
ابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّهِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ خَمْسٍ
عَنْ عُمْرِهِ فِيمَا أَفْنَاهُ وَعَنْ شَبَابِهِ فِيمَا أَبْلاَهُ وَمَالِهِ مِنْ
أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ وَفِيمَ أَنْفَقَهُ وَمَاذَا عَمِلَ فِيمَا عَلِمَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ
ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ
الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ . وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ
مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ .
Ibn
Mas'ud narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
10. "The feet of the son of Adam shall
not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgement, until he is asked about
five things: about his life and what he did with it, about his youth and what
he wore it out in, about his wealth and how he earned it and spent it upon, and
what he did with what he knew."

11. To seek lawful earnings is an obligatory duty
following other obligatory duties (Bayhaqī, Shuʿab al-īmān)

هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " التَّاجِرُ الصَّدُوقُ الأَمِينُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ
وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ
هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ . وَأَبُو
حَمْزَةَ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَابِرٍ وَهُوَ شَيْخٌ بَصْرِيٌّ .
Abu
Sa'eed narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ)
said:
12. "The truthful, trustworthy merchant
is with the Prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs."
[Abu
'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan, we do not know it except from this route, a
narration of Ath-Thawri from Abu Hamzah. Abu Hamzah's name is 'Abdullah bin
Jabir, and he is a Shaikh from Al-Basrah.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالاَ
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ - عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَتَدْرُونَ مَا
الْمُفْلِسُ " . قَالُوا الْمُفْلِسُ
فِينَا مَنْ لاَ دِرْهَمَ لَهُ وَلاَ مَتَاعَ . فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الْمُفْلِسَ مِنْ
أُمَّتِي يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِصَلاَةٍ وَصِيَامٍ وَزَكَاةٍ وَيَأْتِي
قَدْ شَتَمَ هَذَا وَقَذَفَ هَذَا وَأَكَلَ مَالَ هَذَا وَسَفَكَ دَمَ هَذَا
وَضَرَبَ هَذَا فَيُعْطَى هَذَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ وَهَذَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ فَإِنْ
فَنِيَتْ حَسَنَاتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ أُخِذَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُمْ
فَطُرِحَتْ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ طُرِحَ فِي النَّارِ " .
Abu
Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)
as saying:
13. Do you know who is poor? They (the Companions
of the Holy Prophet) said: A poor man amongst us is one who has neither dirham
with him nor wealth. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The poor of my Ummah would be
he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat
but (he would find himself bankrupt on that day as he would have exhausted his
funds of virtues) since he hurled abuses upon others, brought calumny against
others and unlawfully consumed the wealth of others and shed the blood of
others and beat others, and his virtues would be credited to the account of one
(who suffered at his hand). And if his good deeds fall short to clear the
account, then his sins would be entered in (his account) and he would be thrown
in the Hell-Fire.
حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ الْكُوفِيُّ، عَنْ
مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ،
قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يُوضَعُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ أَثْقَلُ مِنْ حُسْنِ
الْخُلُقِ وَإِنَّ صَاحِبَ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ لَيَبْلُغُ بِهِ دَرَجَةَ صَاحِبِ
الصَّوْمِ وَالصَّلاَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا
حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
Abu
Ad-Dardh narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
14. "Nothing is placed on the Scale
that is heavier than good character. Indeed the person with good character will
have attained the rank of the person of fasting and prayer."
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَرْبَعٌ مَنْ
أُعْطِيَهُنَّ فَقَدْ أُعْطِيَ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ قَلْبٌ شَاكِرٌ
وَلِسَانٌ ذَاكِرٌ وَبَدَنٌ عَلَى الْبَلاءِ صَابِرٌ وَزَوْجَةٌ لا تَبْغِيهِ
خَوْنًا فِي نَفْسِهَا وَلا مَالِهِ
Ibn
Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
15. “There are four that whomever
receives has been given goodness in this world and the Hereafter: a grateful
heart, a tongue of remembrance, a body patient with trials, and a wife neither
treacherous with herself nor her husband’s wealth.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُلَيْمَانُ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْغَيْثِ، عَنْ أَبِي
هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " اجْتَنِبُوا السَّبْعَ
الْمُوبِقَاتِ ". قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ
اللَّهِ وَمَا هُنَّ قَالَ " الشِّرْكُ بِاللَّهِ، وَالسِّحْرُ، وَقَتْلُ النَّفْسِ
الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ، وَأَكْلُ الرِّبَا، وَأَكْلُ مَالِ
الْيَتِيمِ، وَالتَّوَلِّي يَوْمَ الزَّحْفِ، وَقَذْفُ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ
الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ الْغَافِلاَتِ ".
Narrated Abu Huraira:
16. The Prophet (ﷺ)
said, "Avoid the seven great destructive sins." They (the people!)
asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What are they?" He said, "To join
partners in worship with Allah; to practice sorcery; to kill the life which
Allah has forbidden except for a just cause (according to Islamic law); to eat
up usury (Riba), to eat up the property of an orphan; to give one's back to the
enemy and fleeing from the battle-field at the time of fighting and to accuse
chaste women who never even think of anything touching chastity and are good
believers."
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْت
رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم يَقُولُ: "مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ
مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ،
فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ، وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الْإِيمَانِ" .
On
the authority of Abu Sa`eed al-Khudree (may Allah be pleased with him) who
said:
17. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let
him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him
change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart
— and that is the weakest of faith.” [Muslim]
حَدَّثَنَا
عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ،، قَالَ
قِيلَ لأُسَامَةَ لَوْ أَتَيْتَ فُلاَنًا فَكَلَّمْتَهُ. قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ
لَتَرَوْنَ أَنِّي لاَ أُكَلِّمُهُ إِلاَّ أُسْمِعُكُمْ، إِنِّي أُكُلِّمُهُ فِي
السِّرِّ دُونَ أَنْ أَفْتَحَ بَابًا لاَ أَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ فَتَحَهُ، وَلاَ
أَقُولُ لِرَجُلٍ أَنْ كَانَ عَلَىَّ أَمِيرًا إِنَّهُ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَ
شَىْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم. قَالُوا وَمَا
سَمِعْتَهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ " يُجَاءُ بِالرَّجُلِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ،
فَتَنْدَلِقُ أَقْتَابُهُ فِي النَّارِ، فَيَدُورُ كَمَا يَدُورُ الْحِمَارُ
بِرَحَاهُ، فَيَجْتَمِعُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ عَلَيْهِ، فَيَقُولُونَ أَىْ فُلاَنُ،
مَا شَأْنُكَ أَلَيْسَ كُنْتَ تَأْمُرُنَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَى عَنِ
الْمُنْكَرِ قَالَ كُنْتُ آمُرُكُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلاَ آتِيهِ، وَأَنْهَاكُمْ
عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَآتِيهِ ". رَوَاهُ غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ
شُعْبَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ.
Narrated Abu Wail:
18. Somebody said to Usama, "Will you
go to so-and-so (i.e. `Uthman) and talk to him (i.e. advise him regarding
ruling the country)?" He said, "You see that I don't talk to him.
Really I talk to (advise) him secretly without opening a gate (of affliction),
for neither do I want to be the first to open it (i.e. rebellion), nor will I
say to a man who is my ruler that he is the best of all the people after I have
heard something from Allah s Apostle ." They said, What have you heard him
saying? He said, "I have heard him saying, "A man will be brought on
the Day of Resurrection and thrown in the (Hell) Fire, so that his intestines
will come out, and he will go around like a donkey goes around a millstone. The
people of (Hell) Fire will gather around him and say: O so-and-so! What is
wrong with you? Didn't you use to order us to do good deeds and forbid us to do
bad deeds? He will reply: Yes, I used to order you to do good deeds, but I did
not do them myself, and I used to forbid you to do bad deeds, yet I used to do
them myself."
الثالث: عن أنس رضي الله عنه عن
النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب
لنفسه" ((متفق عليه)) .
Anas
(May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
19. The Prophet (ﷺ)
said, "No one of you becomes a true believer until he likes for his
brother what he likes for himself".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ،
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ
النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَوَادِّهِمْ
وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ الْجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى عُضْوًا تَدَاعَى لَهُ سَائِرُ
جَسَدِهِ بِالسَّهَرِ وَالْحُمَّى ".
Narrated An-Nu`man bin Bashir:
20. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You see the believers as
regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves
and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not
well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with
it."
وعن ابن
عمر رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " كلكم راعٍ، وكلكم مسئول عن رعيته، والأمير راعٍ، والرجل راعٍ على أهل
بيته؛ والمرأة راعية على بيت زوجها وولده، فكلكم راعٍ، وكلكم مسؤول عن رعيته" ((متفق عليه)).
Ibn
'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
21. The Prophet (ﷺ)
said, "All of you are guardians and are responsible for your subjects. The
ruler is a guardian of his subjects, the man is a guardian of his family, the
woman is a guardian and is responsible for her husband's house and his
offspring; and so all of you are guardians and are responsible for your
subjects."
حَدَّثَنَا
قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ
اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه
ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ
بَنَى بَيْتًا فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَجْمَلَهُ، إِلاَّ مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ
زَاوِيَةٍ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ وَيَعْجَبُونَ لَهُ، وَيَقُولُونَ
هَلاَّ وُضِعَتْ هَذِهِ اللَّبِنَةُ قَالَ فَأَنَا اللَّبِنَةُ، وَأَنَا خَاتِمُ
النَّبِيِّينَ ".
Narrated Abu Huraira:
22. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "My similitude in comparison
with the other prophets before me, is that of a man who has built a house
nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people
go about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: 'Would that this brick be put in
its place!' So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets."
حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ
الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ
بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَرْحَمُ أُمَّتِي بِأُمَّتِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَشَدُّهُمْ فِي أَمْرِ
اللَّهِ عُمَرُ وَأَصْدَقُهُمْ حَيَاءً عُثْمَانُ وَأَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ
اللَّهِ أُبَىُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَأَفْرَضُهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَأَعْلَمُهُمْ
بِالْحَلاَلِ وَالْحَرَامِ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ أَلاَ وَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ
أَمِينًا وَإِنَّ أَمِينَ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Narrated
Anas bin Malik:
23. that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The most merciful of my
nation to my nation is Abu Bakr, and the most severe of them concerning the
order of Allah is 'Umar, and the most truly modest of them is 'Uthman bin
'Affan. The best reciter (of the Qur'an) among them is Ubayy bin Ka'b, the most
knowledgeable of them concerning (the laws of) inheritance is Zaid bin Thabit,
the most knowledgeable of them concerning the lawful and the unlawful is Mu'adh
bin Jabal. Truly, every nation has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one
of this nation is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah."
أَخْبَرَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو
مُوسَى، إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ
أَبَا بَكْرَةَ، يَقُولُ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَالْحَسَنُ مَعَهُ وَهُوَ يُقْبِلُ عَلَى النَّاسِ مَرَّةً
وَعَلَيْهِ مَرَّةً وَيَقُولُ " إِنَّ ابْنِي هَذَا سَيِّدٌ وَلَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُصْلِحَ بِهِ
بَيْنَ فِئَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَظِيمَتَيْنِ " .
Abu
Bakrah said:
24. "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the Minbar, and Al-Hasan was with him.
He would turn to the people sometime and turn to him (Al-Hasan) sometimes, and
he said: 'This son of mine is a leader (Sayyid) and Allah (SWT) may make peace
between two large groups of Muslims through him.'"
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ،
عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، سَمِعْتُ زَهْدَمَ بْنَ مُضَرِّبٍ، سَمِعْتُ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ
حُصَيْنٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم "
خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ
".
قَالَ عِمْرَانُ فَلاَ أَدْرِي أَذَكَرَ بَعْدَ قَرْنِهِ قَرْنَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا
" ثُمَّ إِنَّ بَعْدَكُمْ قَوْمًا يَشْهَدُونَ وَلاَ يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ،
وَيَخُونُونَ وَلاَ يُؤْتَمَنُونَ، وَيَنْذُرُونَ وَلاَ يَفُونَ، وَيَظْهَرُ
فِيهِمُ السِّمَنُ ".
Narrated `Imran bin Husain:
25. "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'The best of my followers are those
living in my generation (i.e. my contemporaries). and then those who will follow
the latter" `Imran added, "I do not remember whether he mentioned two
or three generations after his generation, then the Prophet (ﷺ) added, 'There will come after you, people
who will bear witness without being asked to do so, and will be treacherous and
untrustworthy, and they will vow and never fulfill their vows, and fatness will
appear among them."
عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَسَطِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَلَا إِنَّ
رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ أَلَا لَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى
أَعْجَمِيٍّ وَلَا لِعَجَمِيٍّ عَلَى عَرَبِيٍّ وَلَا لِأَحْمَرَ عَلَى أَسْوَدَ
وَلَا أَسْوَدَ عَلَى أَحْمَرَ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى أَبَلَّغْتُ قَالُوا
بَلَّغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
26. Abu Nadrah reported: The Messenger of
Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said during the middle of the day at
the end of the pilgrimage, “O people, your Lord is one and your father
Adam is one. There is no favour of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner
over an Arab, and neither white skin over black skin, nor black skin over white
skin, except by righteousness. Have I not delivered the message?” They
said, “The Messenger of Allah has delivered the message.”
