Eemaan-e-Kaamil: Absolute unwavering Conviction of Belief
Once
a true connection with Allah comes about; thereupon peace is attained.
Thereafter even if something is spoken, it is only done within one's heart
and that too with the One who is the Lord of our Hearts! Hence,
even if sadness was expressed it was done so only with Him; thus
becoming a matter above and beyond creations. So if one is blessed with
a connection with Allah; thereupon a bond is formed and the matter goes
beyond that of interacting with the creations. Accordingly, what is the
purpose of this "Rabta" (connection)?
“لَوْلَا أَن رَّبَطْنَا عَلَى قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ...”
(Al-Quran 28:10)
Waasbaha fuadu ommi moosa farighan
in kadat latubdee bihi lawla an rabatna AAala qalbiha litakoona mina almumineena
… We Connected with her heart so that
she continues to have Yaqeen-e-Kaamil (absolute unwavering conviction of
belief); i.e. be of the momineen (true believers).
She
should be of those with perfect unwavering Faith. What is Eemaan? It is
Eemaan-e-Kaamil (absolute unwavering conviction of Belief) – it
is Haq-ul-Yaqeen (Belief attained through personal experience); This
is what Eemaan is! Yaqeen (Belief or Faith) too; Just like knowledge, has
levels. Ilm-ul-Yaqeen (Belief acquired through knowledge), Ain-ul-Yaqeen
(Faith acquired through the senses), Haq-ul-Yaqeen (Belief
attained through personal experience). All of these are levels
of Faith/Belief. Ilm-ul-Yaqeen (Belief acquired through knowledge); e.g.
we see smoke rising from a spot, we instantly believe that there is fire there;
as smoke does not emit without fire. either flames are blazing or something is
still smouldering. Fire is there; thereupon smoke will be there. The smoke is
evidence of fire; thus we gain knowledge of the fire. This is
"ilm-ul-Yaqeen". Similarly, we heard from our elders (wise-men), that
there is an Allah and His Rasuls (Messengers); hence we accepted it.
This
too is Ilm-ul-Yaqeen (Belief derived through knowledge). Ain-ul-Yaqeen (Belief
acquired through the senses) is when we go there ourselves, and witness for
ourselves that the fire is burning and the smoke is rising; This is
Ain-ul-Yaqeen. The Ain-ul-Yaqeen of Eemaan is if one attains access to
the Court of the Prophet Muhammad (salAllahualaihiwassalam)
The pleasure that is attained thereupon, cannot be explained to one who
does not have this access. Further beyond this is Haq-ul-Yaqeen (Belief attained
through personal experience). Haq-ul-Yaqeen is attained if your clothes caught
fire or your hand is touched by the fire thus leaving it burnt. The Belief that
is attained thereupon is the highest level of belief and is unfaltering. Likewise,
those who receive the loving touch of the Holy Prophet's (salAllahualaihiwassalam)
blessed hands; thereby acquainting them of this pleasure; gaining familiarity
of those feelings; that is when the Eemaan reaches the level of being Kaamil
(perfect/absolutely unwavering).

What We Dare To Believe!
Ms.
Ra’ana Khan
18-4-2012
Excerpt
from “Ibn al-Jawzee's - The Devil's Deception: Edited Translation by Dr. Abu
Ameenah Bilal Philips”
“Muhammad ibn Sa'd reported from his
teachers that three Khaarijites, 'Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Muljam, al-Burak ibn
'Abdillaah and 'Amr ibn Bakr at-Tameemee, gathered in Makkah and pledged to
kill 'Alee-RAU,65 Mu'aawiyah and 'Amr ibn al-'Aas respectively and not betray one
another.
Ibn Muljam went to Kufah and on the
appointed night when 'Alee left his house to lead the early morning prayers
(Salaah al-Fajr), he struck him a vicious blow on the forehead which penetrated
to his brain. 66
'Alee-RAU cried out to the people not to
let him escape and they caught him. When Umm Kulthoom-RAU 67 screamed at him, 'Oh
enemy of Allaah, you have killed the Ameer al-Mumineen-RAU wrongly, he replied,
'Cry then.' He then went on to say, 'I poisoned my sword, so if he survives me,
I pray that Allaah banishes him and destroys him.' So when 'Alee-RAU died, Ibn
Muljam was brought out to be executed and even though Abdullaah ibn Ja'far cut
off both of his hands and feet, he did not cry out or speak. Next both of his
eyes were pierced by red hot nails, but he still did not cry out. Instead he
began to recite Soorah al-'Alaq: “Read in the name of your Lord who created
mankind from a leach-like clot” - and he finished it while blood flowed from
his eye-sockets. However, when a section of his tongue was burned, he cried out
and when asked why he did so at this point, he replied, 'I hate to die in this
world with other than Allaah's remembrance on my tongue.'
Looking at the skin on his forehead
one could see brownness; the effects of constant prostration in prayer - may
Allaah curse him!”

Recently I read the above and it shook
the very ground beneath my feet. It made me realize how sensitive a matter
“Belief / Faith” truly is. One can spend a life time believing that they are
“true believers” and amongst the faithful, when in fact they are not a part of
the hisbullah (friend of Allah-SWT) at all and in fact are
the hisbushaytaan (friend of shaytaan).
It really had me worried and I felt
the dire need to find out what the method of gauging the validity of one’s
belief was. And I came across the following (reference links are provided):
WHAT IS IBAADAT
IBAADAT (WORSHIP) IN ISLAM is
restricted to only ritual acts, practices and customs of worship, which were
taught by Rasulullah (صلى الله عايه وسالم) and practiced by his
noble Companions and the illustrious personalities of Islam in the initial
three eras of Islam known as Khairul Quroon (Noblest Ages). Irrespective of the appeal and beauty any
act/practice of apparent worship may possess, it will not be Ibaadat in Islam
if it has no basis in the Sunnah of Rasulullah (صلى الله عايه وسالم ) – and the concept of
the Sunnah is what was known, understood, practised and propagated by the
Sahaabah, Taabieen and Tab-e-Taabieen in the period known as Khairul Quroon.
Thus, if anyone insists on performing Salaat at sunrise, midday (Zawwaal) and
sunset, it will not be said that such performance is Salaat. It will be a
haraam bid’ah (innovation) notwithstanding its external form of Salaat. If
someone fasts on the Days of Eid, such fasting will not be Ibaadat, but will be
haraam bid’ah, the consequence of which is nothing but the Fire of Jahannum.
Since these acts which are in conflict with the teachings of Rasulullah (صلى الله عايه وسالم ), they will not be
classified as Ibaadat notwithstanding their external forms of worship. If
someone performs four raka’ts ‘Fardh’ for Fajr instead of the commanded two
raka’ts, such performance will not be Ibaadat irrespective of the beauty of the
external form of the act. It will be a haraam bid’ah.
...
Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi
wasallam) further added that the noblest of ages are the Khairul Quroon — the
Age of the Sahaabah-RAU, the Age of the Taabieen-RUA and
the Age of the Tab-e-Taabieen-RUA. It was in this glorious epoch of
Islam which adjoined the Age o f Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) that
all the illustrious Authorities of Islam — the Fuqaha, Muhadditheen and
Mufassireen — had flourished. It is inconceivable that Islam had been distorted,
mutilated and interpolated beyond recognition by the very first generations of
Islam for whose reliability and uprighteousness Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi
wasallam) and the Qur'aan Majeed testifies.
The Shariah as it existed during the
era o f Khairul Quroon was the perfect and complete Shariah, which Allah Ta'ala
speaks of in the Qur'aan. From this we understand that the principle of
authenticity of any act, tenet or injunction is its existence and acceptance by
the illustrious Authorities of Islam during the Khairul Quroon era. It is
perfidious and kufr to claim, that an injunction which the Sahaabah-RAU,
the Taabieen-RUA and Tab-e-Taabiheen-RUA upheld is
baseless and a fabrication of the ‘Maulanas' of the Indo-Pak subcontinent. This
is a notorious crutch of the Ahl-e-Baatil in general in the South African
scenario of misinterpretation by the deviates, heretics, skeptics and modernist
munaafiqeen.
After reading the above, the thought
that what we dare to believe is a very precarious matter! We sometimes randomly say or believe things which are absolutely contrary
to the ayaat and/or injunctions of the Quran and/or are disregarding the Sunnah
of the Prophet Muhammad-SAAW and/or the Sunnah of the
Khair-ul-Quroon. We do not realize that in doing so we might have transgressed
to a point whereby we have exceeded the bounds of faith and without our even
knowing it we have blasphemed such, that all our acts are lost. Moreover, we in
our ignorant arrogance have in fact given weight to our own knowledge, ego,
intellect, logic and understanding such that we have followed the Sunnah of the
Shaytan; as he refused to prostrate before Adam-AS on the Command of
Allah-SWT, based on his apparent knowledge and understanding whereby
he assumed his superiority over that of Adam-AS and went so far as
to refuting the Command of Allah-SWT.
Declaring something biddah whereby the
authentic Fatawa are present to validate it, tantamount to replicating the act
of satan. However, it is essentially important to keep away from biddah and for
that, one must be able to recognize it.
Hadith of the Prophet-SAAW, reported
by Aboo Daawood, Tirmidhee and others, no. 2549 in Saheehul-Jaami'
"Beware of the newly-invented matters,
for every such matter is a bid'ah and every bid'ah leads astray, and
everything that leads astray is in the Fire,"
According to the Hadith: “Every Biddah
leads one astray.” Thus this is a very clear litmus test for us, in doing an
act which we are seemingly doubtful about its validity we should look at the
people who have adopted it and are recommending it. We should see the before
and after character and life of the person and if we find that the person has
become more distant to the Sunnah of the Prophet-SAAW and the
Khair-ul-Quroon and we find him entrapped in and promoting customs and culture
more than the authentic deen itself, that is valid proof enough that the act
must be a form of biddah. However, if we find that in adopting the act, the
person (in character and lifestyle) has become more adherent to the Sunnah of
the Prophet-SAAW and the Khair-ul-Quroon, and has developed an
aversion towards commonly practiced biddah, customs and culture. Thereupon we
should rest assured that the act is in fact a valid act of Islam and/or I’badat.
I realized all the more how essential
it is for us to go back to the Islam that was brought to us by the Prophet-SAAW
and followed and imparted forth by the three blessed generations. How
important for us it was to choose and follow a particular Fiqh. For me the
choice being a simple one, as Imaam Abu Hanifa-RUA was from amongst
the Taabieen-RUA. Imaam Abu Hanifa-RUA met at least
four Sahaaba (Radhiallaahu Anhum), among them one is Hadhrat Anas ibn Maalik
(Radhiallaahu Anhu). Thus he was surely amongst the Khair-ul-Quroon and
after the Prophet Muhammad-SAAW, there are none amongst us who
surpass them in Islam.
Thus I would suggest in all
earnestness to those fellow Muslims amongst us, who without bothering to
validate or having filtered through the act or person through the litmus test, declare
Tasawwuf (Persian translation of original word Tazkiyyah), in its entirety, biddah, that please stop to realize the gravity of
this matter before it is too late. As Tasawwuf is amongst the Sunnan of the
Khair-ul-Quroon and is adopted through direct injunctions and Commands of Allah-SWT
in the Holy Quran. The exact way the Fiqh was compiled and derived
formally during the era of the Khair-ul-Quroon by Imaam Abu Hanifa-RUA.
As was done the formal compilation of the Ahadith, during the time of the
Tabieen-RUA. (References provided below)
No doubt like every
genuine, beautiful and valuable thing is attacked, as were these fields. And
various movements were not only churned up to negate these three fields and bring
about doubt in these matters; a) infact pseudo and fake Sufistic movements were
evolved with fake saints using them as means to power and wealth came about, b)
newly formed interpolated Fiqhs were developed (dividing the Ummah into sects
and sub sects), c) invented Hadith were spread which were cleansed and removed initially by the efforts of Imaam Bukhari-RUA (in his compilation of authentic Hadith famously known as "Saheeh Bukhari"). He dedicated his life to this duty and
created 17 subjects to validate and authentic the Ahadith. Thereafter other
movements were raised to create further doubts and negate the Hadith claiming
they are unreliable etc. The enemies of Islam have been busy, however it was no
news to Allah-SWT and His-SWT Messenger-SAAW that
they would do so, therefore we have very simple tests and guidance to negate
all these found clearly in the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad-SAAW
and the Khair-ul-Quroon.
We do not realize that refuting,
negating or even belittling either of these three fields or departments of Islam (in their entirety)
declaring them as Biddah or incorrect and adulterated or interpolated and
unauthentic is costing us or rather divesting us of our basic eemaan. And we
might find ourselves receiving a very rude shock on the Day of Reckoning when
we suddenly discover that all our deeds were lost!
From the traditional Sufi point of
view, the esoteric teachings of Sufism were transmitted from Muhammad-SAAW to those
who had the capacity to acquire the direct experiential gnosis of God, which
was passed on from teacher to student through the centuries. Some of this
transmission is summarized in texts, but most is not. Important contributions
in writing are attributed to Uwais al-Qarni, Harrm bin Hian, Hasan Basri and
Sayid ibn al-Mussib, who are regarded as the first Sufis in the earliest
generations of Islam. Harith al-Muhasibi was the first one to write about moral
psychology. Rabia Basri was a Sufi known for her love and passion for God,
expressed through her poetry. Bayazid Bastami was among the first theorists of
Sufism; he concerned himself with fanā and baqā, the state of annihilating the
self in the presence of the divine, accompanied by clarity concerning worldly
phenomena derived from that perspective.
Sufism had a long history already
before the subsequent institutionalization of Sufi teachings into devotional
orders (tarîqât) in the early Middle Ages. Almost all extant Sufi orders trace
their chains of transmission (silsila) back to Muhammad-SAAW via his cousin and
son-in-law Ali-RUA. The Naqshbandi order is a notable exception to this rule, as it
traces the origin of its teachings from Muhammad-SAAW to the first Islamic Caliph,
Abu Bakr-RUA.
The Hanafi (Arabic: حنفي Ḥanafī ) school is one of the four Madhhabs
(schools of law) in jurisprudence (Fiqh) within Sunni Islam. The Hanafi Fiqh
is named after the Persian scholar Abu Hanifa an-Nu‘man ibn Thābit (Hijri: أبو حنيفة النعمان بن ثابت) (767 - 699CE
/80 - 148 AH), a Tabi‘I whose legal views were preserved primarily by his two
most important disciples, Abu Yusuf and Muhammad al-Shaybani. This is the most
prominent among all Sunni Schools and it has the most adherents in the Muslim
world
The beginning of the systematic
collection and compilation of hadith began during the time of the second
generation of Muslims, that of the Followers. Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn
Ubaydullah-RUA, commonly known as ibn Shihab al-Zuhri-RUA,
was a prolific and prominent hadith narrator from the Followers whom Ibn Hajar
identified as a tabi'i. According to Ibn Hajar, “Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri was the
first to compile hadith at the beginning of the first century after the
Migration acting on the order of Umar ibn AbdulAziz. It was after this that the
compilation, then the authoring of books of hadith became commonplace,
resulting in much good.”
I once heard in a religious sermon
that the proof of a true Wallee of Allah-SWT is that in his company
one’s heart would feel love and closeness to Allah-SWT and the
Prophet-SAAW without even his having said anything. Truly I found
this litmus test proven correct without doubt. Alhamdulillah I am amongst those
blessed few, even in this day and age, who have found a true Wallee of Allah-SWT
and a true guide. For this I can never thank my Allah-SWT enough!
I was brought up an exceptionally liberal
household and we had not much to do with Islam. Then by Allah-SWT’s Grace and
Will, someone introduced us to zikr-e-qalbi (the remembrance of Allah-SWT by
the heart). I met the Sheikh (spiritual Teacher) Ameer Muhammad Akram Awan. And
albeit I never knew much of Islam as such and our practical lives were almost
completely devoid of it, yet in my heart I used to communicate with Allah-SWT
as a child and always felt that I had a special connection whereby Allah-SWT
would tell me things in my heart. I remember the first time I went to see
Ameer Muhammad Akram Awan. He had come to Khalid Masjid in Cavalry Ground
Lahore, for leading the Friday prayer. I went there with my newly reverted
mother, completely skeptical of him and these new revolutionary teachings and
feelings that had recently taken over my mother. I asked Allah-SWT in
my heart that “if he is true, then YOU-SWT will tell me in my heart”.
And with this confidence I anxiously awaited him outside, waiting to see him
and waiting to hear what my heart had to say. Finally, as he stepped outside,
amongst a huge crowd of people waiting to meet him, I saw his smiling face beaming
over the crowd, as he is 6’4” tall. And my heart spoke and I will never forget
the instant urge I felt to be near him. I felt this connection and this bond,
and my heart almost screamed “YES HE IS A MAN OF ALLAH-SWT!” I met him a second
time at someone’s residence. Then I met him a third time, and I was still not
doing zikr-Allah, I was still far from Deen, I was still living my godless
life, I was still buried neck deep in sin, nothing had changed since I had met
him really. Yet when I was in his presence I was someone else. I remember I
walked in with my mother, and she re-introduced me for the third time in my
life. He met me with a warm polite smile. I went and sat down with the rest of
the people. Then I experienced the strangest thing. I being one of those who
would think it the greatest embarrassment and humiliation to cry publicly began
crying with tears rolling down my face. But what was most shocking was the
reason for my tears. What had upset me was that I did not like the fact that I
had to be reintroduced to him a third time, and he did not know who I was, then
the thought had come to me that “how would I feel when I am finally presented
before my Prophet-SAAW and he-SAAW would not recognize
me?” And at this thought uncontrollable tears had began to rush down my face
and I didn’t care where I was and who could see me. This in itself was nothing
short of a miracle and the true litmus test had revealed the truth, as I
realized later. Alhamdulillah it is one of my Rabb-SWT’s greatest gifts
bestowed on me that I have been blessed with the company and guidance and bait
of a true Wallee of Allah-SWT and furthermore Allah-SWT has
blessed me with zikr-e-qalbi. May Allah-SWT grant my Sheikh a long fruitful, happy, healthy, successful life and bless him with the highest stations of Willayah. Aameen!
Al-Quran; Surat Al-Kahf :ayat 28 –
"And keep yourself patient [by being]
with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking
His countenance. And let not your eyes over look them, desiring
the pomp and glitter of the life of the world;and obey not him [nor listen to/
pay heed to one] whose heart WE have made heedless of OUR
Remembrance (zikr-e-qalbi), one who follows his own lusts and whose
affair [deeds] has been lost."
Al-Quran; Surat Az-Zumar :ayat 22 –
"Is one whose breast ALLAH has opened
[wide with willingness] to Islam, so that he is illumined by a Light
[that flows] from his Sustainer [and follows a Light from ALLAH], [no better
than or be likened to the blind and deaf of heart, one hardened of heart]?
Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the [zikr] remembrance
of ALLAH (zikr-e-qalbi). They are manifestly wandering [in
error]!"
Anyway coming back to the topic, after
reading all this and my various interactions with a number of somewhat sincere
Muslims, who I feel lacked clarity, I understood how imperative it is for one
to have a teacher and guide, a sheikh or better still “Ameer-ul-Mumineen”.
Especially in today’s day and age, where we are bombarded with a sea of
information; of different variations, teachings, concepts and sects of Islam,
it is ever so important for us to find a Sahib-e-Dil (One with an enlightened
heart) Sheikh to help us cleanse our hearts and filter for us the correct
teachings of Islam, to simplify and explain to us the Quran, Sunnah and Hadith,
and Fiqh in a manner whereby even an illiterate villager can comprehend the
message and follow it. I was overwhelmed with gratitude towards my Most
Gracious and Loving Allah-SWT who blessed me with such a teacher.
Alhamdulillah in my 16-17 years of having him as my teacher I have never come
across even the remotest of conflicts and issues with his character and
teachings. I can never thank Allah-SWT for blessing me with
zikr-e-Qalbi. Thus allowing my heart to be cleansed and guided and opening my
breast to the light of Islam.
May Allah-SWT bless me with
steadfastness and May He-SWT allow me to always engage in His
Remembrance and die while my heart is still calling out to Him without the
slightest of slackness. May He-SWT keep me amongst His-SWT dearest
and most beloved people in this life as well as the hereafter. And on the Day
of Judgment May Allah-SWT raise me amongst those who receive
salvation without accountability and bless me with the extreme and exceptional
happiness and success of both the worlds. And May Allah-SWT do the
same for you and the entire Ummah-tul-Muslimeen. Aameen!
Sahih Muslim Hadith 7178;
Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: Since our
acceptance of Islam and the revelation of this verse (57.16) in which Allah has
shown annoyance to us, there was a gap of four years.
Surah Al-Hadid 57, Ruku 2, ayat 16:
“Has not the time
arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should
engage in the remembrance of ALLAH (zikr-e-qalbi) and of the truth which has
been revealed (to them) and that they should not become like those to whom was
given Revelation aforetime but long ages passed over them and their hearts
grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.
Important
note: Any person or group or sect that disregards even a single ayat of the Quran
or the Hadith or undermines the Sahabah-RAU or challenges the teachings of the
Khair-ul-Quroon in any which way, has/have deviated and taken
himself/themselves out of the folds of Islam and any such group or sect shall
be considered deviant in its entirety. To believe that only this one or these
few aspects or beliefs of theirs are incorrect, however the rest of their
beliefs are fine is absurd. Moreover, it is these thoughts and such logic that
has spread confusion amongst the Ummah. There is only one Islam and one Ummah,
if they all remove the one or few incorrect beliefs they adamantly uphold, all
confusion would be removed and the Ummah would find itself one and united
again.
Al-Quran; Surah Al-e-Imran: ayat 103
And hold fast, all together, by the
rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's
favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that
by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire,
and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye
may be guided.

O’ ALLAH-SWT I LOVE YOU
O’ ALLAH-SWT I LOVE YOU
I believe there is no GOD but Allah-SWT, and Muhammad-SAW is HIS-SWT Messenger! I believe Allah-SWT is Absolute, Eternal, He-SWT is Most Exalted, Most Merciful, He-SWT is the Greatest of Planner. Infact I believe He-SWT is the ONLY Planner. I believe everything happens according to His-SWT Grand Plan and nothing in Life is a coincidence. I believe Allah-SWT is the only one in charge and everything is under His-SWT Command and Control. I believe this worldly life is a test. Not a test of hardships, but a test of Trust and Love.
I believe we are “Ashraf-ul-Makhlooqat”, the best of Allah-SWT’s Creation. Why are we the best, because we have been given the capacity to choose and want to LOVE Allah-SWT. Allah-SWT in His-SWT utmost Kindness, Mercy and Love has made this test a beautiful one, and He-SWT has allowed us to be mini ‘creators’ (for lack of a better word). It sounds almost blasphemous, but one needs to understand this concept more clearly before jumping to conclusions. Infact better still perhaps mini designers.
It's like a mother makes a painting and her child wants to add to it. So she allows him to hold the brush and asks him "what do you want to make?" He suggests a sun. She holds the brush with him, completely controlling every move, guiding his hand, gliding the brush to make the sun that he so wanted to create. All the time allowing him to believe that he made it, when all he really did was; suggest that he wanted it there. And then she finally takes the brush in her own hands; fixing, improving and further enhancing the sun beautifying it to match the rest of the painting.
Allah-SWT created the world and this life as a test, that amongst all the distractions and all the love of the created world, its beings and its material and all the dependencies, do we choose to LOVE and TRUST only Him-SWT and do we choose to only depend on Him-SWT?
It’s all very simple if you can just for a while allow yourself to step outside the box. Imagine this, you are in a virtual reality game.
Yusuf Ali What is the life of this world but amusement and play? But verily the Home in the Hereafter that is life indeed if they but knew.
Pickthall This life of the world is but a pastime and a game. Lo! the home of the Hereafter that is Life, if they but knew.
(29:64)
You are allowed to have anything you want, or almost anything you want, as long as you’re patient, and you believe. And over here when I say believe I don’t mean believe in Allah-SWT. I mean just believe that you can have that something that you want. Whether you are an atheist, an agnostic, a non practicing Muslim, Christian, Jew, a Hindu, Buddhist, a magician etc. It doesn’t matter what colour, creed or religion you belong to, as long as you want something and you believe you can get it, so much so that you can almost taste it, or feel the contentment of having it before you actually do, sooner or later you will GET it.
Pickthall Every soul will taste of death. And ye will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which ye have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter Paradise , he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion.
(3:185)
It’s virtual reality, nothing is impossible, if you want to, you could actually fly. And this is not so absurd, in the past we have episodes of Hindu Jogi’s and Muslim Aulia doing that quite easily. Getting to be able to do what you want to, is not the amazing thing. The amazing thing is the means you chose to acquire, in order to achieve it. If your belief in anything other than Allah-SWT was the means for your achieving whatever you did, you might be successful in this world, but you’ll surely receive a rude shock in the hereafter and will not be content here either irrespective of all your material success.
Pickthall Know that the life of this world is only play, and idle talk, and pageantry, and boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children; as the likeness of vegetation after rain, whereof the growth is pleasing to the husbandman, but afterward it drieth up and thou seest it turning yellow then it becometh straw. And in the Hereafter there is grievous punishment, and (also) forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure, whereas the life of the world is but matter of illusion.
(57:20)
On the other hand if you decide to choose to want Allah-SWT, and His-SWT Love and Mercy. If you choose to believe in Allah-SWT, and believe that Allah-SWT is the Sole Provider and He-SWT can give you anything and make it better for you, you will be forever at peace and at ease. You’ll be confident that inshaAllah you will get what you want sooner or later, and until then you will keep focusing on the positive that you have and that is around you and continue to thank Allah-SWT and enjoy the blessings of this life while earning the best for your after life. You will never feel the need to oppress others, or to belittle them or to cause corruption in any which way, thus you will always live in harmony and allow others the same, because you’ll know that Allah-SWT is on your side because He-SWT Loves you and as long as you are genuinely making an ounce of an effort to love and obey Allah-SWT, you will be confident that Allah-SWT would never let you down. The same Allah-SWT who provides for people and gives them whatever they want irrespective of whether they believe in Him-SWT or not, would never deprive the people who are voluntarily wanting and choosing to love Him-SWT of anything they want to achieve or have in this life or the hereafter. Especially because such people would only want good for themselves and for others. This is the act of creativity, imagining and wanting all that is good, then physically working towards achieving it and most of all asking Allah-SWT to “make it so”, by saying AMEEN! No dua is complete without the saying of Ameen! It is also why Allah-SWT has said in the Quran:
Yusuf Ali Do no mischief on the earth after it hath been set in order but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good.
Pickthall Work not confusion in the earth after the fair ordering (thereof), and call on Him in fear and hope. Lo! the mercy of Allah is nigh unto the good.
(7:57 )
The system of life is simple, it’s the “LAW of Attraction!” you can attract whatever you want into your life depending on how much you believe and how positive you are. Negativity breeds and attracts negativity, so if you think you want success, but keep pondering over how unsuccessful you are and feeling miserable about it, you would inevitably only attract more negativity in your life. If you want success, keep running after it and feeling anxious about it, you’ll never attract it, because the feeling of not having success will always be dominant. But if you want success, ask Allah-SWT for it, and then follow His-SWT Commands, then you will become content before you even have it, because of your trust in Allah-SWT and the fact that by following His-SWT Orders, you automatically become an embodiment of the persona which rightfully deserves respect and success. Once you understand this concept, you understand ISLAM and you understand why Allah-SWT said that “ISLAM is your BASIC INSTINCT”.
Islam is the secret of the law of this life being revealed to you in the best possible way. Depending on your spiritual IQ and understanding, which continually grows with each reading of the Quran, zikr and obedience, you understand the secret better and better. And for those who do not understand the secret, but they blindly follow the do’s and don’t of the Quran and Islam as best as they can, they too shall benefit with the goodies of this world and the next. Because Islam and the Quran is your personal guide to THE SECRET TO SUCCESS OF BOTH THE WORLDS! If your life is not taking a positive turn and you are miserable even after you supposedly think you believe in Allah-SWT, then don’t expect any miracles to happen in the after life. There is something wrong with your belief. You need to worry about it now and work towards fixing your belief. You may believe in your mind, but the belief has not penetrated your heart. Until the belief and trust in Allah-SWT sinks into your heart at least a dot, you will find yourself in trying circumstances, and feeling low. But if and when you are blessed with even an iota of belief, faith and trust in your heart, you’ll instantly fall in love with Allah-SWT, then even when it seems that the circumstances are not what you had been asking for, you’d know that it’s just a matter of time and it’s Allah-SWT’s Grand Plan in action, and all that is happening, no matter how opposite it may seem to your dreams and aspirations, is working towards bringing them about!
Hadith 20.129
Starting with Safa in the Say
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that he heard Abdullah ibn Umar making dua on Safa saying, "O Allah, You have said, 'call on Me - I will answer you' and You do not break Your promise. So I am asking You, in the same way that You have guided me to Islam (Peace), not to take it away from me, and that You make me die while I am Muslim (spreader of Peace)."
So believe in Allah-SWT, love Him-SWT! Trust Him-SWT! He-SWT is surely the only One worthy of our trust and our love, for He-SWTis the SUSTAINER, the PROVIDER, the ABSOLUTE ETERNAL, the KIND, the MERCIFUL, the PLANNER, the CREATOR, the ARTIST, the PERFECTION OF PERFECTION, the MOST GENEROUS, the MOST LOVING, and HE-SWT is our ALLAH-SWT, waiting for us to ask and Providing for us without our even asking!
Hadith 15.30
Dua (Supplication) (Tahajud)
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Abdullah al-Agharr and from Abu Salama from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, descends every night to the heaven of this world when the last third of the night is still to come and says, 'Who will call on Me so that I may answer him? Who will ask Me so that I may give him? Who will ask forgiveness of Me so that I may forgive him?' "
Al-Muwatta Hadith
Hadith 46.9
Hadith 46.9
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that this was said "Praise be to Allah who created everything as is necessary, who does not hasten anything He defers and determines. Allah is enough for me and sufficient. Allah hears whoever makes dua to him. Allah does not have a goal."
Sunan of Abu-Dawood

Hadith 1474 Narrated by

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Supplication (du'a') is itself the worship. (He then recited): "And your Lord said: Call on Me, I will answer you" (xI.60).
Hadith 15.29
Dua (Supplication)
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Ubayd, the mawla of Ibn Azhar, from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "You will be answered as long as you are not impatient and say, 'I have made a dua and I have not been answered.' "
Sunan of Abu-Dawood
Hadith 4883 Narrated by
AbuHurayrah
Hadith 4883 Narrated by
AbuHurayrah
I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say: There were two men among Banu Isra'il, who were striving for the same goal. One of them would commit sin and the other would strive to do his best in the world. The man who exerted himself in worship continued to see the other in sin. He would say: Refrain from it. One day he found him in sin and said to him: Refrain from it. He said: Leave me alone with my Lord. Have you been sent as a watchman over me? He said: I swear by Allah, Allah will not forgive you, nor will he admit you toParadise . Then their souls were taken back (by Allah), and they met together with the Lord of the worlds. He (Allah) said to this man who had striven hard in worship; Had you knowledge about Me or had you power over that which I had in My hand? He said to the man who sinned: Go and enter Paradise by My mercy. He said about the other: Take him to Hell. AbuHurayrah said: By Him in Whose hand my soul is, he spoke a word by which this world and the next world of his were destroyed.
We must never think that it is our efforts in the cause of Islam or our obedience that will earn us heaven, that would infact tantamount to arrogance. We must always remember we are obedient not because Allah-SWT needs us to be obedient, but infact because it is we who need to be obedient for it is necessary for achieving success in this worldly life as well as the hereafter. It is the love for Allah-SWTthat we feel inside our heart which in turn will invoke Allah-SWT’s Mercy, thus winning us heaven in the eternal life. We are not sent here to judge, we are sent here to continue to Love, Trust and Belong to Allah-SWT and long for His-SWT Mercy for ourselves and for the rest of His-SWT Creation, and this lesson was taught to us by the greatest teacher ever sent to humanity, Prophet Muhammad-SAW, the Mercy for the entire Universe. “treat other’s the way you would want Allah-SWT to treat you!”
O’ Allah-SWT I can never thank You-SWT enough for Islam, my beautiful religion, for making me Muslim, for giving me understanding and guidance, I am absolutely at peace and content with my religion. O’ Allah-SWT my Perfect Creator, The Absolute Truth, The forever Merciful, The Generous, The Kind, The Compassionate, The Giving, The Absolute, The eternal, The Perfection of Perfection, I love YOU-SWT! I could not be happier to have You-SWT as my Lord! O’ Allah-SWT, I can never be grateful enough for making me from the Ummah of my Prophet Muhammad-SAW, the most exalted of Prophets, the best of the best of teachers, the most merciful of men! O’ Allah-SWT I am forever grateful to You-SWT for the kindness of sending me the most wonderful spiritual teacher, even in todays day and age, who introduced me to my Prophet-SAW, my religion Islam, and You-SWT, for until I met him, I had the Quran yet I had no understanding, I knew of Muhammad-SAW,but I never really knew him-SAW. I had heard some lies about You-SWT and I had believed them, I was completely lost, wandering astray. In my ignorance I gave up on You-SWT, but You-SWT my Lord, never gave up on me!
O’ Allah-SWT, I was so wrong, so lost, so miserable, so arrogant, until You-SWT in Your-SWT infinite Mercy, lead me to the kindest, most truthful, honest, humble person I know in today’s day and age, and he brought me to the light, which lead me to You-SWT. Please bestow Ameer Muhammad Akram Awan with the best of the best in both the worlds, and allow all of humanity to receive benefit from him as I have, so that they too might see the light and be lead aright. O’ Allah increase me in my love for You-SWT, for my beloved Prophet Muhammad-SAW, for Islam, for my spiritual teacher, and for Your-SWT Creation. Ameen!

TRUE FREEDOM LEADS TO TRULY EXPERIENCING THE PLEASURES OF LIFE
TRUE FREEDOM LEADS TO TRULY EXPERIENCING THE PLEASURES OF LIFE
Zikr-Allaah and meditation is all about helping you achieve; breaking free from the box and re-iterating your belief in Allaah-SWT therefore bringing out seemingly superhuman abilities.
There is a saying of Hadhrat Ali-RAU that goes something like this:"man can achieve anything he wants, as long as he believes Allaah-SWT can do it for him!" and that my dear is the crux of Islam and the sum up of the purpose, direction and achievement of this worldly life. Allaah-SWT wants us to live to the max but without oppressing or hindering other people from doing so too! Live and let live, be merry and let others be merry too!
The stronger our belief in Allaah-SWT the more we voluntarily submit to HIM-SWT the more FRE we become! Our belief in Allaah-SWT is the only path to true Freedom. Since Allaah-SWT is all Powerful, all Aware, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Controller and Creator of everything, and always does what is best and can manifest betterment in anything for us. Then we can achieve absolutely any heights we desire by simply believing in Allaah-SWT in His-SWT absolute entirety (with all HIS-SWT aspects as mentioned to us by the Prophet-SW) being obedient to HIM-SWT and asking HIM-SWT (making dua). We can actually fly without wings, as done many a times by different Aulia to reveal the Miracles of believing in Allaah-SWT.
So those people who claim to love Allaah-SWT but insist that they are unable to submit to His-SWT Will and become obedient to Him-SWT and His-SWT Prophet-SAW – Claiming to be devout believers but un-practicing Muslims...
Sorry to burst their bubble, but their claim is false!
People do not improve or change because they do not WANT to improve or change.
But people who believe in something cannot help but practice what they believe.
Knowing and believing are two completely separate things. And a Muslim is one who BELIEVES in Allaah-SWT and HIS-SWT Prophet-SW, not simply one who knows of them. Therefore “Non-practicing Muslim” is an oxymoron. One can be “a SOMEWHAT practicing Muslim”, making an effort to follow, as best as he can, at least the basic fundamentals for a Muslim (Salaat, Fasting, Zakaat, Sadqah, Hajj are the basic rituals that set a Muslim apart from a Non-Believer). And this would be so because of a bare minimum level of belief in Allaah-SWT and His-SWT Prophet-SW.
If one truly believed that Prophet Muhammad-SAW was an embodiment of Truth and never spoke anything but the truth, then that belief would atleast encourage one to know all that he-SW has shared with us, since Allaah-SWT has placed this inherent need in everyone to want to seek the TRUTH!
This need would bring us first and foremost to the first part of our Kalimah “la illaha ilAllaah” (There is no God but Allaah). Knowing this is THE TRUTH, we would instantly BELIEVE! (like the companions-RAU did).
After which we would like to know Who is this Allaah-SWT? and we are told that HE-SWT is the One and Only Creator and Lord of the Universe and all that has ever been created. HE-SWT is, was and will always be, even when there’s nothing! We are informed of 98 other attributes and are told that there are infinite more which we will discover after we die. And knowing this is THE TRUTH, we would instantly BELIEVE! (like the companions-RAU did).
After being informed of the Truth’s above we are lead to the Quran, which our very truthful Prophet-SW has informed us to be the Word of Allaah-SWT. And we are placed in direct communication with our Lord-SWT being informed by HIM-SWT about HIS-SWT likes and dislikes and what HE-SWT wants and expects of us. Knowing this too is THE TRUTH, we would instantly BELIEVE! (like the companions-RAU did).
And this BELIEF would instinctively make us submit, conform and abide out of IMMENSE LOVE for Allaah-SWT (for having Created us and Loving us and showing us Immense Mercy and allowing us to discover and feel the pleasures of life which would have been unknown to us otherwise) and INTENSE LOVE for the Prophet-SW (without whom-SW we would have never known Allaah-SWT and who-SW suffered endlessly to keep the TRUTH alive for us and all generations to come till the end of time).
Just like when we go to a very well recommended doctor, he listens to us with concern and diagnoses our disease with confidence. Reiterating our belief in his diagnose by highlighting symptoms we must be feeling which we failed to recognize or associate with this disease or problem. Then when he tells us we have to undergo minor surgery, but it must be done soon. He schedules the surgery for the next day and tells us to stop eating 8 hours before the procedure and stop drinking any liquids 5 hours before the procedure. We believe the doctor so we agree with the procedure and we believe that the procedure has to take place at the scheduled time so we abide by the instructions of the doctor and stop eating and drinking at the required times. This is the difference between knowing and believing. When one believes, they take the respective action. There are only two states a person can be in either “you believe” or “your are in doubt / you don’t believe”.
“I believe, but ...” is an oxymoron!
Belief, Love and Actions go hand in hand, otherwise it would be nothing but hypocrisy.
People who truly know Allaah-SWT cannot help but believe in HIM-SWT and instinctively fall in love with Allaah-SWT for HE-SWT is truly the only ONE worthy of our love. And when you love Allaah-SWT you cannot help but automatically change whether or not you consciously thought of doing so, for just our simply believing in Allaah-SWT pulls us out of the box and we are no longer inhibited or hindered by our previous actions, beliefs or limitations in our mind. The second we choose to BELIEVE in Allaah-SWT we seek forgiveness for all our past mistakes, we instantly make amends, we truly BELIEVE we are forgiven and we start from a blank new page to discover life and the pleasures thereof as permitted by Allaah-SWT.
This is not a judgment call, it’s a wakeup call!
We live with the choices we make, not only in this life, but also in the hereafter.
May Allaah-SWT allow us to make choices that bring us closer to HIM-SWT and earn us HIS-SWT Love, bringing us true happiness and success in both the worlds. Aameen!
